How you can help AND GET INVOLVED

REACH Community Health Centre

REACH is your community health centre and there are many ways you can get involved and help out:

REACH provides innovative, high-quality primary health and dental care, and social, and educational services to support the physical and mental health and well-being of our community and individuals within it. We are a non-profit with funding from Vancouver Coastal Health, revenue from our dental clinic and pharmacy, and grants from community and governmental agencies. However, donations from our supporters can help us do more for our wonderful, diverse community.

BECOME A REACH MEMBER

Anyone who is a current patient or client, or who lives or works in the Grandview Woodland Community is welcome to join as a REACH member. Members vote at the Annual General Meeting in September, when a new Board is elected and may serve on committees. They may also be invited to attend events or give input into REACH’s activities. Membership is also an excellent starting point for individuals who may want to join our Board of Directors.

VOLUNTEER

Our Basics for Health program relies on dedicated volunteers to run their referral-based program. Volunteers assist individuals and families with meeting their needs for housing, employment/income security, healthy child development, food security, education, and social support as needed. Volunteers will provide support to clients through information and resource provision, referrals, advocacy, and follow-up while working with other volunteers to maintain efficient service.

call for volunteers - VIDEOGRAPHER

Are you passionate about storytelling health and well-being through engaging and inspiring videos? Interested in advocating for social determinants of health and their impact on people? REACH Community Health Centre is seeking a creative volunteer videographer to join our team!

This project-based volunteer opportunity involves producing a series of short, compelling videos to capture authentic community voices by interviewing diverse individuals – our patients, clients, staff, and partners, and celebrating 55 years of REACH’s connections with the community. These videos will be featured on our 55th anniversary campaign throughout the year and on our social media platforms to highlight our milestone and raise awareness of how community health centres positively impact people’s health and lives.
